Our History
Quality Hardwood Sales began operations in the spring of 2001 in a pole barn behind the home of Devon Hochstetler.  He supplied hardwood drawer fronts and panels for local cabinet suppliers.  The second year the company had grown to four employees and he added an Optimatch system and clamps to handle additional business.  In March of 2005 after continuous growth it was time to move into a larger facility.  Operations were moved to a 20,000 sq.ft. building on Tomahawk Drive in Nappanee.  More equipment was added to better serve the customers needs and by April 2008 the company had grown to more than 30 employees.  Devon expanded new offerings to include door rail and cut to size parts.  The increased demand of the RV industry and steady kitchen cabinet manufacturing business fueled growth.  In 2008, the company acquired a new manufacturing facility, built an additional 40,000 sq.ft of space to moved operations to the present location of Plant 2 on Shawnee Drive.  Continuing to diversify, QHS added machines to it's impressive list of equipment to support the unique needs and projects of the industry.

At the end of 2008 an opportunity arose to purchase the hardwood cabinet door division of Genesis Products.  Operations were moved to the former Nappanee Window facility directly across from Plant 2.  Cabinet doors, drawer fronts and lineal programs were custom finished and shipped to various RV manufacturers in the area.  QHS quickly gained a reputation as a respected door supplier and production doubled within the first six months.  As the year evolved and sales grew, a major competitor approached QHS to purchase the door division.  Management sold the cabinet door division and focused on the rough mill operations at Plant 2 and added a three axis CNC router.  Today, Quality Hardwood Sales continues to evolve as a company, looking to diversify product offerings and build lasting relationships.
